History of YouTube Channel
YouTube is an American social media and online video sharing platform owned by Google. It was founded on February 14, 2005, by Steve Chen, Chad Hurley and Jawed Karim, three former employees of Paypal. YouTube Channel is basically the YouTube Management Platform.

According to a story that has often been repeated in the media that Hurley and Chen developed the idea for YouTube during the early months of 2005, after they had experienced difficulty sharing videos that had been shot at a dinner party at Chen’s apartment in San Fransisco. Karim did not attend the party and denied that it had occurred, but Chen remarked that the idea that YouTube was founded after a dinner party “was probably very strengthened by marketing ideas around creating a story that was very digestible”. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/YouTube

Through YouTube, one may open a channel to upload video, engage people and market, whereas while making ads through YouTube, it acts as both:-
- Content Creator
- Marketer
A good Action plan may make it a success. The channel owner works as both content creator and marketer.
YouTube Marketing
YouTube Channel works as a very effective platform for marketing. Through video and running content, it attracts market easily than any other marketing platform. How does it work? Content creator creates and uploads video and business people puts their ads inside the video. Google pays the content creator for uploading the content/video and Google influences business people to run ads in that specific video, takes payment to pay the content creator. So basically, all three, Content creator, Google and Business People, are the target for marketing. Sometimes, Business people opens channel to keep their ads and link the ads content to the Content Creator’s channel. www.samiaakther.com

YouTube’s Senior Leadership
YouTube has been led by a CEO since its founding in 2005, beginning with Chad Hurley, who led the company until 2010. The CEO role was retained after acquisition of YouTube by Google. Salar Kamangar took over Hurley’s position and kept the job until 2014. He was replaced by Susan Wojcicki, who later resigned in 2023. The current CEO is Neal Mohan, who was appointed on February 16, 2023.
Revenue & Copyright
The majority of YouTube’s advertising revenue goes to the publishers and video producers who hold the rights to their videos; the company retains 45% of the ad revenue. In 2010, YouTube gives an option for copyright holders to locate and remove their videos or to have them continue running for revenue.
