Bangladesh emerged as an independent sovereign country in the year 1971. From the time of its liberation till the recent 36th of July 2024, the general mass of the country couldn’t enjoy even the fundamental basic rights, but just survived. Fascist government: reflected in the political scenarios of Bangladesh

The autocratic fascist government ruled over the country. These ruling powers negatively affect the political scenarios of Bangladesh. The autocracy was playing with different names and different appearances. The unprivileged poor and middle-class people suffered only, whereas a few privileged corrupted politicians grabbed the control over all the assets and properties of the nation. These so-called politicians were never bothered about a minimum development of the country, but their personal interest and benefits only.

However, the super flow of the information technology made the common people communicate easily. All the people came forward under the banner of ‘anti-discrimination students movement’. The people came under one umbrella to show their protest. They raised their voice against all the cruelty, brutality and discrimination by the fascist government. From each and every corner, people came out to bring down the fascist government and bound her to flee away. Thus the political scenarios of Bangladesh now turning to a positive direction.

And the Interim Government

The students organized themselves and could convince the Nobel Laureate Prof. Muhammad Yunus, to take over the interim government. He is known as the ‘Banker to the poor’ and is the pioneer of the global micro-credit movement. Eventually Prof. Yunus took over as Chief Advisor and formed the interim government. With his new team, he started necessary reforms to be done and completed before declaring general election. The general election will allow the democracy to take its place to facilitate a constructive political scenarios in Bangladesh.

As chief adviser of the caretaker government, he is, however, tasked with bringing stability back to the country, which witnessed some of its worst violence in decades and then hold fresh parliamentary elections.

Epilogue

The country is turning around. The people are optimistic. Bangladesh is going to be soon a country ‘of the people, for the people and by the people‘. So, its a new Bangladesh with new political and socio-economic scenarios.

It’s 31st December 2024 and New Year eve today. The students called for a nationwide gathering at the Capital city today with the slogan ‘march for unity’.
